Into deep, smooth shred
Butterfly is willing to
like a silent frog

- Anssi Sundberg

I like this haiku Anssi. I usually wouldn't rewrite someone elses work. But.. I want to change 2 letters ok?

Into deep, smooth shred
Butterfly is willing too
like a silent fog

i dunno if it makes sense.. anyway maybe keep playing with yours
they say that most great art has undergone some sort of revision.

Here`s a poem I wrote called: `what is love?`

What is love
Oh baby, don't hurt me
Don't hurt me no more
Oh, baby don't hurt me
Don't hurt me no more
What is love
Yeah
Oh, I don't know why you're not there
I give you my love, but you don't care
So what is right and what is wrong
Gimme a sign
What is love
Oh baby, don't hurt me
Don't hurt me no more
What is love
Oh baby, don't hurt me
Don't hurt me no more
Whoa whoa whoa, oooh oooh
Whoa whoa whoa, oooh oooh
Oh, I don't know, what can I do
What else can I say, it's up to you
I know we're one, just me and you
I can't go on
What is love
Oh baby, don't hurt me
Don't hurt me no more
What is love
Oh baby, don't hurt me
Don't hurt me no more
Whoa whoa whoa, oooh oooh
Whoa whoa whoa, oooh oooh
What is love, oooh, oooh, oooh
What is love, oooh, oooh, oooh
What is love
Oh baby, don't hurt me
Don't hurt me no more
Don't hurt me
Don't hurt me
I want no other, no other lover
This is your life, our time
When we are together, I need you forever
Is it love
What is love
Oh baby, don't hurt me
Don't hurt me no more
What is love
Oh baby, don't hurt me
Don't hurt me no more (oooh, oooh)
What is love
Oh baby, don't hurt me
Don't hurt me no more
What is love
Oh baby, don't hurt me
Don't hurt me no more (oooh, oooh)
What is love?

Damn, that's fresh Kevin! Here's one that I've been working on (Sam Cokealow, if you're not too busy filling out passport paperwork, feel free to change a letter or two):

Step inside, walk this way
You and me babe, Hey, hey!

Love is like a bomb, baby, c'mon get it on
Livin' like a lover with a radar phone
Lookin' like a tramp, like a video vamp
Demolition woman, can I be your man?
Razzle 'n' a dazzle 'n' a flash a little light
Television lover, baby, go all night
Sometime, anytime, sugar me sweet
Little miss ah innocent sugar me, yeah

Hey!
C'mon, take a bottle, shake it up
Break the bubble, break it up

Pour some sugar on me
Ooh, in the name of love
Pour some sugar on me
C'mon fire me up
Pour your sugar on me
Oh, I can't get enough

I'm hot, sticky sweet
From my head to my feet yeah

Listen! red light, yellow light, green-a-light go!
Crazy little woman in a one man show
Mirror queen, mannequin, rhythm of love
Sweet dream, saccharine, loosen up

You gotta squeeze a little, squeeze a little
Tease a little more
Easy operator come a knockin' on my door
Sometime, anytime, sugar me sweet
Little miss innocent sugar me, yeah

Take a bottle, shake it up
Break the bubble, break it up

Pour some sugar on me
Ooh, in the name of love
Pour some sugar on me
C'mon fire me up
Pour your sugar on me
Oh, I can't get enough

I'm hot, sticky sweet
From my head to my feet yeah

You got the peaches, I got the cream
Sweet to taste, saccharine
'Cos I'm hot, say what, sticky sweet
From my head, my head, to my feet

Do you take sugar? one lump or two?

Take a bottle, shake it up
Break the bubble, break it up

Pour some sugar on me
Ooh, in the name of love
Pour some sugar on me
C'mon fire me up
Pour your sugar on me
Oh, I can't get enough
Pour some sugar on me
Oh, in the name of love
Pour some sugar on me
Get it, come get it
Pour your sugar on me
Ooh
Pour some sugar on me
Yeah! Sugar me!

I know this is reeeeally old but I found this old poem I wrote 5 1/2 years ago (When I was 10) when I was going though so old discs.

The Grass Struggle
By Melissa Politsch
11-07-99

The rain is the past
The snow is the future
The grass is covered by snow
It was a drubbing
It happens every year
The white bullies appear

The snow is the giant warrior
Here to bring oppression
The grass desires to be sovereign
To be free of the frozen water that bounds them down
That covers them up
That puts them in a white cloak of darkness

The grass will plan it escape
Slowly and surly
Mapping and planning
Hoping and waiting
Waiting their oppressors to abscond

Like every year since the beginning of time
The sun will grow searing
And shine and light up the frozen ground
Slowly and surly
The grass will shed it’s burly coat of snow
And rejoice in the light it’s been deprived of so long

But in due time
Their oppressor will return
But like always they will depart
There scars will linger
But that’s the circle of life
There as always

It's kind of stupid and to be honest not that much like a poem.
I think I going to take over Canada. You should help.

Stick with the frog, ana_ali!!! I loved your haiku (in fact it's the only "real" haiku in this thread). It echoes the Japanese tradition in a really funny way.

Deft shit that is!

I call this one night train

ahem . . .

------------------------------------
Well I'm a west coast struttin'
One bad mother
Got a rattlesnake suitcase
Under my arm
Said I'm a mean machine
Been drinkin' gasoline
An honey you can make my motor hum
I got one chance left
In a nine live cat
I got a dog eat dog sly smile
I got a Molotov cocktail with a match to go
I smoke my cigarette with style
An I can tell you honey
You can make my money tonight

Wake up late honey put on your clothes
Take your credit card to the liquor store
That's one for you and two for me by tonight
I'll be
Loaded like a freight train
Flyin' like an aeroplane
Feelin' like a space brain
One more time tonight

I'm on the nightrain
Bottoms up
I'm on the nightrain
Fill my cup
I'm on the nightrain
Ready to crash and burn
I never learn
I'm on the nightrain
I love that stuff
I'm on the nightrain
I can never get enough
I'm on the nightrain
Never to return - no

Loaded like a freight train
Flyin' like an aeroplane
Speedin' like a space brain
One more time tonight

I'm on the nightrain
An I'm lookin' for some
I'm on the nightrain
So's I can leave this slum
I'm on the nightrain
And I'm ready to crash an' burn
Nightrain
Bottoms up
I'm on the nightrain
Fill my cup
I'm on the nightrain

Whoa yeah
I'm on the nightrain
Love that stuff
I'm on the nightrain
An I can never get enough
Ridin' the nightrain
I guess, I
I guess, I guess, I guess, I never learn

On the nightrain
Float me home
Ooh I'm on the nightrain
Ridin' the nightrain
Never to return
Nightrain

funny thing is, most of you weren't around when the song came out, so you probably think I really wrote it.

Done This a Thousand Times
One Mistake is all it took
NOw I'll take another look
If only I could rewind
Everything Happens for reasons
But this I don't know why
Find A way, Someway, Somehow
Make this all workout
Maybe I'll find a clue
Maybe I'll live it out
Life is hard but I'm harder

That was it hope you like and this post is great gives you something to do when your relaxing after some footbagging Action.

This is a poem (?) that I made...

All the money in the world won't buy another minute.
We are set on this earth with a limited amount of time.
Are we here with a purpose?
Is this life without a purpose?
Dust will ultimately cover our bodies, and we will become one with it anew.
In the end, they say, nothing we accomplished in the world will matter.
The one aspect of life that gives me comfort in knowing is this:
Wind will still blow, planets will still spin, and fire will still flicker on as I
evanesce into oblivion.

Take the first word of each sentence and it makes a sentence of its own. "All We Are Is Dust In The Wind"
F.R.

I can't sleep...

Nightmare

Creatures of night stir
Beckoned by the lure of greed
Laughing the last cry
As they torment and consume
Through the window of the soul.

Here's a poem that really has a special spot in my heart... It helps me when I footbag, too. 8O :D

Come on, shake your body baby,
do the conga
I know you can't control yourself any longer
Come on, shake your body baby,
do the conga
I know you can't control yourself any longer.

Come on, shake your body baby,
do the conga
I know you can't control yourself any longer
Feel the rhythm of the music getting stronger
Don't you fight it till you've tryied it
Do the conga beat

Everybody gather 'round now
let your body feel the hit.
Don't you worry if you can't dance
let the music move your feet.
It's the rhythm of the island
and like sugarcane, so sweet.
If you want to do the conga
you've got to listen to the beat.

Come on, shake your body baby,
do the conga
I know you can't control yourself any longer
Feel the rhythm of the music getting stronger
Don't you fight it till you've tryied it
Do the conga beat

Feel the fire of desire
as you dance the night away.
'Cos tonight we're gonna party
till we see the break of day.
Better get yourself together
and hold on to what you got.
Once the music hit your system
there's no way you're gonna stop.

Come on, shake your body baby,
do the conga
I know you can't control yourself any longer
Feel the rhythm of the music getting stronger
Don't you fight it till you've tryied it
Do the conga beat

Come on, shake your body baby,
do the conga
I know you can't control yourself any longer
Feel the rhythm of the music getting stronger
Don't you fight it till you've tryied it,
do the conga
Come on, shake your body baby,
do the conga
I know you can't control yourself any longer
Feel the rhythm of the music getting stronger
Don't you fight it till you've tryied it
Do the conga beat
Come on, shake your body baby,
do the conga
