It makes me really happy that this topic has lasted until its tenth page!

The gentlemen of the Missoula Footbag alliance also put a smile on my face. I kicked with Jere today. He is a kind soul.

Detective stories, or books involving a pretty intense detective case.

A local cherry farm donated 40kg of cherries to my work (because I work for an environmental NGO). That makes me happy.

Not living in Adelaide.

(because the temperature hasn't dropped below 30 degrees C for a few days - including at night - and has been up around 45 degrees C every day, and is expected to stay like that for a while. About 115 degrees F. Pretty hot for a coastal city.)

So on this issue, my state reached its hottest ever temperature today. Good stuff. Other end of the state, which made me happy since I thought it was too hot down here and it was 14 degrees colder.

Not being sick, and fantasizing the weather around Jeremy's neck of the woods.

I don't know if there it's worth fantasising about. We beat yesterday's hottest temperature for the state ever again today, but this time a lot closer to where I live. If you like it hot, go to Adelaide; Here are the last 5 Adelaide temperatures (in C. multiply by 1.8 and plus 32 for F);

36.6
43.2
45.7
43.4
43

And here are the next 6 days forecast;

40
40
39
38
38
40

If I lived there I would either kill myself or just leave. That will be at least 10 days in a row above 100 degrees F (37.8 C)

Edit; This is where Flavio is in Australia at the moment - or at least has been for the last few days. Lucky him :P

How Hendrix opens his cover to All Along the Watchtower, I hadn't heard it in a while and it just popped up on my play list, so great. Too bad it's late and everyone is asleep...

Agreed. I dream for that weather. Although NYC has suffered heat waves above 100 degree F weather before, I think the highest I encountered was in Hong Kong in the summer of 2004 where the temperature peaked around 45 degree C. Along with condensed traffic and an overflowing population along the shopping districts the humidity levels were through the roof. I sort of miss it.
