Great post Anz ;) that is definatly a good figure to bring out when all those newbie punks say "uhh they are just doing the same thing over and over!"

***Disclaimer: This is a very rough calculation that has some key inaccuracies.***

I was doing a few calculations in a lecture a few days back and this is what I got as my moves that I can do (and do often):

Sets:
Mastered: Toe, clip, fairy, atomic, stepping, spinning - normal, ducking, diving (18)
Learning: Quantum, pixie. (2)
Have hit: Phasing, surging, nuclear, shooting, fairy spinning, furious. (7)

Downtimes:
2add/BOP: Legover, pickup, mirage, illusion, toe, clip, butterfly, osis - all op and ss. (16)
3add: Drifter, DLO, whirl, eggbeater, double pickup, double switch, rev whirl, swirl, rev swirl, barrage - all op and ss (20)
4add: Blender, torque, dyno - all op and ss (6)

So that is a combination of all downtimes off all mastered sets and all 2add downtimes off mastered sets with ducks/dives, all 2add downtimes off learning sets, and about 2 downtimes off 'have hit' sets:

6*(16+20+6) + 12*16 + 2*16 + 7*2 = 252 + 192 + 32 + 14 = 490

So I can hit about 500 different moves one one side, if I can hit everything on flip aswell then that is essentially 1000 different moves!

I will do the same calculation for Vasek (this is all guessing from what i've seen in videos):

Sets:
Mastered: phasing, surging, shooting, fairy spinning, pixie spinning, furious, double spinning, atomic spinning, sailing, frantic, terraging, swirling. (12)
Mastered with duck/dive: Toe, clip, fairy, atomic, stepping, spinning, quantum, pixie, nuclear, inspinning - normal, ducking, diving. (30)

Downtimes:
2add/BOP: Legover, pickup, mirage, illusion, toe, clip, butterfly, osis - all op and ss. (16)
3add: Drifter, DLO, whirl, eggbeater, double pickup, double switch, barrage, delusion, rev whirl, swirl, rev swirl, grifter, - all op and ss (24)
4add: Blender, torque, dyno, flux, merlin, whirr, ripstien - all op and ss (14)
5add: barroque - and ss. (2)

So that is a combination of all downtimes off all mastered sets and all 2add downtimes off mastered sets with ducks/dives:

12*(16+24+14+2) + 30*16 = 672 + 480 = 1152

So Vasek can hit over double the number of 'normal' moves i can hit, which is about expected. This means he has double the variety in his game, which is obvious from watching both our games.
Keep in mind this is only considering moves that are hit commonly, no wierd stuff like inside set atomic are included, also symposium is not included so that should be noted.

I think I have a good estimate of how many tricks have actually been hit.

I did it in a spreadsheet for easy viewing.

http://members.cox.net/guitardudeben/Moves.xls

The amount I came up with is:

Toe: 15*9*55 = 7425
Clip: 15*9*91 = 12285

Total: 19710

Now, this is not perfect for many reasons. I didn't add outside, inside, dragon, etc tricks and I probably don't have every downtime trick listed. But, I think it evens out because many of the combinations I listed haven't been hit.

So, I'd say somewhere around 20,000 unique tricks have been hit. (I do not feel hitting a trick on your flipside is unique so I just counted one side.)

This seems like a reasonable number because I figure the AVERAGE footbagger has hit somewhere between 500 - 1,000 tricks total. Most of those are tricks that others hit as well. So, saying somewhere around 20,000 tricks have been hit at least once seems reasonable to me.

Suggestions and add-ons are welcome and encouraged.
