Cleanest Nemesis on video

Post by C-Fan » 03 Feb 2014 11:45

There used to be a thread called "nemesis headcount," where a list was kept of people who claimed to have hit nemesis. I think it was started in 2004, and ran a few years, but the first post was definitely not kept up to date. My real concern with that thread though, was that it did not include video. So basically anybody who posted "I've hit it!" would be on the list. Now I'm not saying that people were lying to get on the list. However, given the nature of the trick (mid/downtime barfly after hard set) I think it was very possible that some people with thin/the nemeses got on the list. I've been working at nemesis over the past month, and have hit some very close attempts that "felt" perfect...but when I video reviewed them I saw they weren't. I've come to really appreciate the difference between a thin nemesis, and an undeniably clean one.

Towards that end, I'd like to start a new thread with videos of clearly perfect nemeses. I'll take the responsibility of keeping the first post up to date. I just ask you to post videos in this thread of undeniably clean nemeses, preferably with slow mo. If there are videos which are in doubt, we can debate them here. But I'd really like to see a list of who has hit perfect ones. I could start this list off with names like Anz, Milan, Jay, and Dave...but I will wait for videos of them all before I do. To be on the list, I need to see a perfect nemesis on video. Have at it!

Just look at this as an excuse to rewatch a whole bunch of old/forgotten videos. That's what I'm doing.

The flip of that though, is wading through a whole bunch of videos of nemeses that aren't clean. And then it can also be surprisingly hard to find videos of players who I KNOW have excellent nemeses, but I can't seem to find good clips of them.

Help me out?

(I was referencing the "Superdeeduperfly Headcount" post Mike Angeski made in 2011 and everyone ganged up on him and said how much they thought head counts were pointless… I always loved them, personally :P)

I already tried to find Clavens hitting one, but failed :P I'll keep browsing

That'd be great! What I'm really looking for here, are videos of nemesis where you can clearly see that every dex is clean. The ideal is an HD video with slow mo, but really as long as you can see that every dex is perfect, that's all I care about.

I'd still like to see one of Clavens posted here. The nemesis from the press conference was clean, but I only know this because I was there. That clip you can barely see the bag. I bet one of his winter/autumn vids has one in good lighting at a good angle...somebody find it? Same with Milan and Jay. I found a slow mo vid of Vasek doing Nemesis in Sick 3 at Worlds 2008, but the angle was bad.

Since my original post, this is the only other one I found that meets the standard I'm looking for (1:16 mark):

Penske has one of the best nemesis out there, imo. I just need a video at a good angle. Same with Chris Schillem. No doubt in my mind they have perfect ones, I just want vids in HD which are at an angle where the trick is undeniable.
