It's been too long!

Post by J.Spano » 07 Sep 2013 20:09

My name is Joe Spano, I used to be really into footbag a few years ago. Had Lavers and as Abshire 55 as well (They're dearly missed).
I attended the very last Funtastic, in PA if I'm not mistaken.
Anyway sorry to rant and be so out of the loop but it seems as though Modified has gotten a facelift and the traffic on the site has unfortunately gone down. I'm not exactly new but I'm excited to say I'll be buying some new footbag gear relatively soon to reignite my old obsession : )
I really look forward to meeting some of you and can't wait to start playing/being an intrical part of the community again! :o

Hey man! I was also at the last Funtastiks! I was the dude with purple hair who won intermediate finals routines. If you're down to shred, my club EFCU (East Coast Footbag United) travels along the east coast and unites with other players. If you're close to Bethlehem, PA you could definitely meet up with us. Let me know dude! Hope to kick with you soon!

Is it worth it to go for the Nucleus or should I just stick with Lavers and a Hanna or Waylon Lew bag to start off with?

DO NOT GET NUCLEUS. Fake footbag shoes.

Wasn't Richard Abshire behind the whole Nucleus project, I've read about all of the testing and how "top players" used it, etc.
I guess I'll stick with some white and blue lavers.

I have no idea who designed them, but I've heard too many people say "They weren't designed with footbag in mind" :/ Your best bet is definitely Lavers.

I think Richie would have had a better idea than Nukes. Maybe the idea was great, but the manufacturers messed up? No idea. Something bad happened there.

Hey man, welcome to the forums! A new footblog would be fantastic if you feel so inclined.

Lavers and a bear/hania/waylon bag are just fine.

Welcome back.
