OK IMPORTANT UPDATE CONTINUED!!! Just to clarify we are now locked in to 939 bedford ave brooklyn ny. We have NOT!!!!!! moved to a smaller place but we have moved to a different place. What I mean is that it has less closed door rooms, it has 11 beds of different sizes on the duplex floor sloops 6 more each in two separate lower level apartments, It would have been perfect but we will be playing back closer to the old house on sat. It is closer to dumbo (REAL CLOSE) also VERY near the train that goes and comes from Bruce's house. It will be great for sat nights dinner since those at bruce's can join us on the way home. UNFORTUNATELY IT IS $5 BUCKS more per night per person. IF THIS KILLS ANYONES ABILITY TO COME LET ME OR ONE OF THE DIRECTORS KNOW. For those who want to explore Manhattan it is closer to the trains that go there. IF you have a mattress and sleeping bag please bring them, as some may rather sleep on the floor for more room. A few people may have to sleep on the floor, I am , but just a couple-ted

Just to be clear, 939 Bedford is about four blocks away from the G train, which connects to the line that I'm on (the L train)...or one can walk about 9 (long) blocks to the M train, which doesn't run all that often.

In terms of schedule changes for this event, I thirdly agree that routines should be held before circles (although I am not doing a routine). I think it's more fair for those who are awesome for preparing routines in the first place.
I'm also not sure if anyone else (besides me) would prefer to try and have all (freestyle) comps (routines and circles) be on Saturday. It might be selfish of me to say, but I know that me and the other PSU people will have to leave early afternoon-ish to catch our bus (perhaps around 4PM on Sunday).

In other news, it sounds like ECFC will be "dope," or even, "off the chain."
Excited to meet new faces and see old (youthful) ones.

Important update, the location on Saturday has changed to the Red Hook recreation center. All info is posted here:

I don't think we are going to run two rounds of Inter routines, only if inter players all want to. Comp on Sunday will take much less time on Sunday and It shouldn't interfere with people leaving early. We plan on making cuts in open routines and having just the two final circles on Sunday. It shouldn't take more then two hours.

Hey yall!

I will be bringing my amplifier again this year for sound and music.

Feel free to make playlists on your ipod to play through the amp if you want to. I cant accommodate everyone's musical taste, so i thought it would be a good idea for people to bring their own tunes to shred to.

I will update my ipod as well.

also, if anyone could bring an ipod charger to the event, that would be awesome as i do not have one.

thanks,
-Boatz

Super last minute travel plans as usual. Need to check the loads but looking like ill fly DTW>JFK Friday morning. If it's full by noon tomorrow I may have to jump on one Thursday. Anyone have cheap travel recommendations from airport to accommodation? Train to L?

hey Anton,

From JFK you hop on the AirTrain (free monorail type shuttle) and take it to Howard Beach...there you buy a Metrocard and grab a Manhattan bound A train to Broadway Junction. At Broadway Junction you go upstairs and switch to a Manhattan bound L train. If you get in Thursday then you can crash at my place, which is at the Myrtle/Wyckott stop on the L train (PM me for details). If you get in Friday, then you want to take the L train to Lorimer street, and switch to a Brooklyn (Smith/9th street) bound G train, and get off at Bedford - Nostrand Av and walk up to 939 Bedford.

Word, this looks like it should be a fun event. I'll probably be around Saturday and a part of Sunday, not sure if I can make it out Friday.

Bruce, how packed is your place looking Saturday night?

Oh, only around 15 people and one cat :)

It's pretty packed. Maybe after Friday night's spooning world-record is broken, we can decide if we can fit one more?
