I got back from the beach a few days ago with a cold. I couldn'tplay until tonight due to sickness. I did, however, get a chance to play 3 days on vacation. I didn't really stress too uch with level of play but footed some miraging far osis thing. Felt sweet but I won't try it again.

Tonight, I had a mini session with Toolan which resulted in hitting the mirage > legover rpt. drill. After we parted ways, I went home and drilled that some more and hit inside > front sole > inside > ws inside > ws front sole > ws inside. It's always nice when I can bsos front sole and keep it going.

Just a note: I have been playing, just haven't been writing in the futeblaug. Computer took a poop but is all better now :]

Did a little practice today with around the worlds and orbits on both sides but nothing serious. Tomorrow, I am going to seriously drill them along with clipper to op clipper with hopes of improving both my dexes and clippers. We'll see how that goes...

Thanks dude. I think I'm a while away from hitting it consistently...just going to stick to drilling fundamentals as of now. I'm a long way away from pdx torque and blurry torque (dream moves as of now.)

Broke my kicking up into two mini drilling sessions today.
Before work, I drilled 25 atw on both sides, then 25 orbits on both sides. After work, I drilled 25 atw both sides, 25 orbit both sides, and 25 legovers both sides. Tomorrow, I am going to concentrate on mirage and pickup. I haven't been doing a lot of pickups lately so, in order to kick off some rust, I ended my solo session tonight with just 5 on both sides.

mini pre-work drilling session was going greatly until i kicked my bag into the pool. I hope it dries off in time for my post-work drill session. i did 3atw bs,3 orbit bs, then2 and 2 then 1 and 1. This was a little tip nick told me from ans about getting better at dexes, then i just drilled mirage 25 times bs, then lost the bag midway through my pickup drill. I need more than 1 bag.

I had a fun and educational session with toolan today. I bsos'd a bunch of tricks I have been drilling, like pdx mirage, clipper near mirage, clipper near pickup, and near mirage. Mike showed me near legover, near pickup, clipper far legover/pickup aka more stuff to drill. I got the closest I've ever been to a double dex today; double orbit. I'm not really sure what I want to drill next time I do a solo session. :/ It might be gyro clipper, the stuff Mike showed me today, osis, butterfly, or more pdx mirage. Osis>butterfly rpt. might be nice. I have a lot of work to do.

just finished my post-work shred. footed pdx illsuion on both sides (i plan on seriously hitting that soon,) worked on my timing with clipper to gyro clipper, hit near butterfly on both sides, and worked a tiny bit on near legover. I didn't drill this session since that's all I've been doing in my solo sessions lately, but I will get back on my drilling grind hard tomorrow.

Just finished a nice, little post-work session. Didn't drill too much of anything, just practiced atw, orbits, mirage, near mirage, clipper near mirage, paradox mirage, legover, near legover, pickup, near pickup, clipper near pickup, illusion, hit near illusion on both sides (once each,) and worked on my stepping set and paradox illusion (both works in progress.)
I decided not too try too hard tonight since I woke up this morning pretty sore.

Can you film? Would be great to see some footage of your game, and you'll have fun comparing yourself in a years time too :)

Ian, I will be kicking at East Coast Footbag Championship 27-29 Sept. for intermediate routines and intermediate circle. Hopefully I can get some footage there. Also, we film a bunch at PSU, so it will undoubtedly come in time.
Nicholas, I hope I didn't disappoint today. I thought I was going to shred more but I had a blast.

Just got back from another super fun session with ECFU. Mike Toolan, Nick Polini, Taylor Shramko, Jackson Raap, and Jeremy Mellor were there; such a good crew with whom to kick. I hit some fun stuff out of zoid like legover and pickup. I executed a few stepping toes, a few far osises. Osi? ...whatever the plural for osis is. Hopefully, I can drill that enough to hit torque consistently. Other than that, it was just simple things; legover, mirage, pickup, butterfly and all of that near. I got a little frustrated with gyro clipper, but that's okay. Finally (drum roll please,) I hit, for the first time ever, whirl! I footed it on flipside. Needs a lot of work to be consistent but I finally did it and it felt sooooo nice. WHIRL. Can't wait to drill it, hit it consistently, then add it to my game. SUPER STOKED.
On another note, I will be leaving for PSU on Saturday to change my footbag scenery... and to earn a diploma... but mostly play footbag (kidding.) But seriously, I'm going to shred sofa king much.

Can't believe I left this out. Tonight I also hit pixies > muted clipper. I had never even thought of that but, for some reason, my legs wanted to do it tonight.

No disappointment. Just pure amazement. Great job dude. You're really proving yourself as a dedicated player.

I just wanted to add this part to your Whirl story: *Ben hits Whirl* *yells a bit then runs/dances around the park* Great reaction :P

I wish upon you, many many more Whirls in the future. You guys should have a "Whirlkshop" (trade mark Nick Polini) with each other because a few of your guys are hitting Whirl every now and then. So I think it would be helpful for you guys to circle up and take turns trying to hit it and everyone can give advice on it. I know Ivan hits it, Greg footed it a few times, Khoa hits it, Ryan's pickups are so good that he'll be trying to hit it very soon, George hits it, Marc could probably hit it by now, etc...

Have fun at PSUFC this year man, I really wish I could join you guys for the sessions. Keep your head in the game and keep up your drilling. It's paying off quicker than I would have thought. I have a lot of faith in you as a future awesome player. Don't let me down... I'm confident you won't. It's been great teaching you this summer and I hope you learned a lot from Toolan and me. It's been a pleasure to teach you since you take advice well and incorporate it immediately. Now take what we learned you and add your unorthodox footbag spark to PSUFC. Good luck, God Speed.

I'll see you guys soon.

:DDD
I had to react to hitting whirl that way because I've been trying for almost the whole summer.
I will propose the whirlkshop idea to the club.
I just found out that there is a tennis court where I will be living so I will definitely keep up on the drilling. And yes, of course, having Toolan and you around gave me a lot of positive footchi to feed off of, as well as tips and lessons. You had better make frequent trips to state. If I don't see you before ECFC, then I will see you there (didn't think that one through and too lazy to delete it.)

I was just reading some of my friends' futeblaugs. A few of them had some very nice things to say about me. If you guys are reading this (you know who you are,) I am super flattered, absolutely WILL let the nice comments go to my head, and will do everything short of invasive surgery not to let you down.
