mash ups

Post by Luis » 14 Jan 2010 01:16

i was just wondering what people thought about mash up djs?
my friend showed me this stuff about a year ago and i didnt like it at first but went back to it and now i still think its good

incase you dont know, mash ups generally either take like the best 20 seconds of 20 songs and put them together to make one song or
take two songgs and mix them togheter

some good examples of this are, these three have their music availabe for free download off their websites:
girltalk - feed the animals http://www.myspace.com/girltalk
hood internet - http://www.thehoodinternet.com/
white panda - versus mix tape http://www.thewhitepanda.com/
super mash brothers - http://www.myspace.com/sprmshbros

biggie vs miley

let me know what you think and if there are any other good artists i should check out, i think this music is pretty good for kicking since it is mostly pretty up beat

Also for some more commercial mashup artists check out Too Many DJs which I still think rock.

Muhahahaha.

Actually my favourite mashup ever was by Kevin Regamey. It was John Lennon's "Imagine" and Adam Freeland's "We Want Your Soul". Sooo good. I think he was just fooling around. I have the MP3 clip somewhere, but these are the songs:
