most beautiful zombie movie?

Post by skoxn » 01 Jul 2005 05:31

wow, if anyone would ask (which noone hasn´t), what zombie movie i like the most, i´d go for:

Zombie Flesh Eaters by Lucio Fulci

unforgotten the scenes with the fight shark - zombie underwater in all his epicness :D and the stab-in-the-eye scene

that movie combines everything, what a undead-movie must have. lots of gore elements, which are needful for a zombie film, a beautiful surrounding in the southsea and really ugly zombies, that come straight out the earth!!!

not to forget the first part of the "dead-trilogy", which i like a lot cause of the black/white factor and the age. i also enjoyed some of the newer films, like the remake of "dawn of the dead".

what would you say, is the bezt?

Premutos

German B-Movie - get very drunk with a lot of friends and watch it then!

Wisconsin rules! woooo!

Even though they aren't zombies, 28 Days Later takes the cake for me...

But if it has to be zombies, then Land of The Dead would have to do it for me. But 28 Days Later pwns!

My zombie movie expierence is limited to about 5 or 6. Of the ones I have seen the stand outs are definitly Shawn of the Dead and 28 days Later.

Shawn of the Dead is good but starts taking itself too seriously towards the end and not having enough jokes.

I think 28 Days Later wins for me for lots of reasons (actually I watched tonight). First it has Dr. Who in it (or at least the same actor as the second last doctor) which wins bonus points. Also I really like the style - much less b grady. Not much cheesy zombie action. Really seems to be a lot more about the interactions between people than about the zombies at all and I think is trying to comment about the nature of humanity and our society. Maybe I'm reading too much into it but I think that's really been a strong theme with all Boyle's movies (at least the ones I've seen - trainspotting and the beach).

Of course Simon Baker is in Land of the Dead and he's a local Tasmanian boy - grew up near where I grew up, his dad is a janitor at my old high school - so that wins points too.

Resident Evil: Apocalypse for one reason: Milla Jovovich! It's too bad the RE movies didn't follow the gameline better.

Dawn of the Dead! The original....so good.

Night of the living dead (color version remake) is awesome.

The dead next door is awful. Though I appreciate the motivation going into that low budget film.

Anyone here ever seen that British humor oriented zombie flick 'Dead Alive?' The movie was kinda lackluster as all B-movies are, but there was a bunch of gore in it.

Dead Alive aka Braindead is directed by Peter Jackson (Director of "Lord of the Rings"!!!). it should be more "new zealandian humor".

if you like braindead, you should really watch "Bad Taste". what a great movie!!!

oh yeah, and what about the newest romero movie, land of the dead? anyone seen it? i will go to cinema next week, to get a personal impression!

ohh, i recognize, i´ve seen "the dead next door". well, i didn´t really liked it. VERY amateurish, but with lots of tiny, nice ideas.

I really agree I saw it in a club(Flex) where thy make movienight once a month and with good sound on a big screen it was great.

Land of the dead is another quite good zoombie movie.I saw it in cinema and it seemed pretty much like the direcot`s cut.But the end of the film is stupid.....
