Looking for a picture of the US... from outerspace.. during the fireworks...

Idc which timezone it's at or whatever. Is there even a picture like that yet? I would assume it'd look pretty bad ass... Maybe spaced out a bit, but still I would think you'd be able to see it. Anyone know if this has been done and if so, know of a picture of it online anywhere?

Thanks. (been looking for days. XD)

I think you're underestimating how big the US is, and how small fireworks are.

You would still be able to see them. And a good number of fireworks expand to be bigger than 2 miles in diameter.

Out of curiosity I searched for some maps of the US and found this one with a scale on it:

http://www.smartraveller.gov.au/zwiki/i ... merica.jpg

From a rough estimate, a circle with a diameter of two miles would not appear bigger than the points used to denote the major cities on this map. So I think you'll have a hard time finding what you're looking for. Unless you find a super-high-resolution map and you make the assumption that all fire-works were set off at precisely the same time (and that some type of satellite was actually monitoring this very event) and that they all had a two-mile diameter , in which case at best you'll have a map of the US with little small dots over it..

I would expect the fireworks to only be small points, but they would still stand out enough to be seen I would think.

Idk. Was really just wondering if there was such a picture ever taken, or even attempted. Thanks anyway.

That's pretty lame. Clearly an underused acronym, or only known to or used on a small number of forums.

There are a lot of words in the English language that mean something but are never used because there are other words that mean the same thing that don't sound as retarded.

This would be kinda like that, except with acronyms. qtc, sounds stupid, lol. "quoted for truth" even saying it aloud sounds and feels dumb.

Vouch > this "qft" crap. Ez.

Edit: Fixed that sentence. I was far from sober when I made this message.
