ultimate frisbee?

Post by brycimus » 27 Feb 2006 18:50

who here plays Ultimate - GREAT FUCKING SPORT GUYS

if you don't play it you should sometime - my two favorite sports = footbag & frisbee (the only sports i play actually :D )

it's actually a really serious sport - just like footbag, aside from the casual hack there is freestyle and net etc. and aside from the casual frisbee toss there is ultimate and also freestyle frisbee too

I think there are quite a few players on these forums. I've tried it once so far and LOVED every minute of it.

I LOVE ultimate frisbee! It's one of my favorite things to do besides footbag. My team entered a huge tournament last year and we got 4th place! It was such a great experience! We're planning on entering this year too! I'm also big into disc golf! I did that for 6-7 hrs a day over the summer! :) Anyway, I'm planning on doing club ultimate this year, depending on how much time I have and stuff!

I used to love ultimate frisbee until I realized I'm horrible at team sports! :) More the team aspect than the frisbee aspect. I still absolutely LOVE working on my different frisbee tricks, though. The freestyle frisbee world champs were in Seattle last summer... maybe I should look into that more.

Ultimate is becoming very popular in St. John's, and across Canada. I played in the last summer league until I blew up my ankle. Enjoyed it thoroughly. If I can run again in May, I'll be playing again for sure.

Ultimate Worlds were in Turku last year. I played footbag with an american ultimate player there :D He could play tiltless in sandalls. That was cool.

One of my friends plays in a team. I think she's been playing some international matches as well.

Ultimate is cool.

I played once when i was in Berlin, it was surprisingly tiring! I thought i was in ok shape but this took it out of me for sure hahaha
Pretty fun though if i could maintain my energy level

I used to play all the time until it started to become a bit more popular and crowded, which equaled more aggressive competition. I wasn't all about that so I stopped playing and just stuck to footbag. It was a lot of fun for the time spent though.

Ultimate is alot of fun and a great workout. We used to have a tourny every year at my highschool, my team team came in first one year. I love getting a bunch of my friends together and having a good game.

i've actually never played frisbee golf, but it looks like alot of fun

ultimate frisbee isn't popular in the netherlands, yet I'm lucky my roommate, who's in the national team, has introduced me to this great sport! :)
I play once a week, though it's pretty intensive for the knees, which keeps me from playing footbag too often :(

I don't like ultimate, but I like disc golf.
Remember: Frisbee is a brand name. Flying Disc is correct. If you can manage "Footbag," you can manage Flying Disc.

Tomorrow I'm participating in a DDC challenge, anyone familiar with the game?
