the toe on the shoes does not have lots of room for toe stalls, but im not certain on how the clipper set is.

Kevin Regamey played with some Puma's until recently, I am sure he knows the answer.

Though brace yourself for a wave of enthusiastic "GET LAVERS!!!!!!!!!!!" responses.

GET LAVERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hehe. . .I couldn't resist.
I play in Laver's and I do recomend getting them, but I'm sure there are many shoe's that would work well also. You could probably mod your puma's so they worked great.

sigh....this thread isn't about lavers, its about pumas.

The only puma shoe i've seen that has potention are the frankenclydes. I just so happened to have an old pair so i played around with them. I found out you have to heavily mod them to the brink of falling apart. Its not worthwhile. From what i've seen of pumas, they're all pretty heavy so that sucks. You'd have to do alot of drilling to get them remotely as light as lavers and the toes aren't great.

The mods I did was:

- Cut off outer layer of material EVERYWHERE i could.
- scrape out the inside of the tongue
- drill holes
- cut out first 2 eyelets

After modding I noticed that they are a half size to big for me. So i'm sure i'd have better results if they fit me. But its definitely not worth the effort. Plus inner material will lose its stiching faster because the outer isn't there to protect it.

Could you take pics of your moded frankenclydes, im curious to see them.

I like how there are probably way more shoes that we know off that could shred well. I always find myself looking at my friwends shoes, so see if they are shreddable.

the fire mod is a tried and true method. Guaranteed to make you a better footbag player.
