I skooled whirls again tonight, and had another decent session. I did 400 tonight. I was able to hit five in a row on strong side with my second session of 100 always being able to hit at least two in a row each time. Weak was weak with the high being two in a row. The probem is my balance I can't keep my balance so well when I delay the bag after completing the dex. I am sure it is just a form thing. I really focussed on opening to the bag tonight when I was working on my flip. On a positive note I was able to land several whirls on flip and then bail them to infinite so that offers potential.

I think that is about it for today. I was skooling to the newest NUFAN album. Man that band never seems to miss on a disc solid work on all their discs.

Take care,

Mike

Skooled whirls again tongiht. Did 400, and on strong my high was six and on my weak the high was four. I suppose that I had my flip breakthrough tonight. Weak was really good and in my second set of one hundred I was able to hit 2 in a row in every set of ten. That really made me feel good about the session so that I could see the improvement.

The day off a couple of days ago i think helped. I was really stiff up until I rested that night. I suppose that is what I get still footbagging at my age. I never realized how much two weeks off can affect your body. I am going to have a good rest tonight.

Man as my chinese improves my english is going down the shitter!

Take care

Help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My only bag broke tonight, so I desperately need a new bag and I don't have my credit card here. If someone would find it in the goodness of their heart to send a new 32 I will reward them with something, I am not sure what you want just PM me about it and I will give you the address here in China to courrier it to. I will cover the courier cost. If anyone needs help with that let me know because I do alot of work with courier companies and can help explain it to you. I would like a bag asap because My shoes are starting to fall apart too but that is a different story for another time. Damn discontinued new balance CT 300s.

Anyways my session of whirls tonight was really good. I regular I hit 7 in a row with several strings of four. On my flip my high was three but it there was more consistancy in hitting two in a row.

If someone could help me with the bag thing as soon as possible I will be very greatful and you can tell me what you would like from China and I will courier you something in return. I will stitch up the hole but it is only a matter of time until it goes again.

Take care,

Mike

Played again with my stitiched up bag. It is a lon irish so the filling in it is so fine, or mashed up by me that the bag is about to die. I skooled on 300 whirls tonight because the bag well is almost dead. I was able to hit five whirls in a row on regular and three on flip, but the restitch has deformed the bag some so it is really difficult to delay.

On a personal note, I would like to thak benrea (his username here) for stepping to the plate with a bag for me. I can not say how much that means to me. It also continues to prove what a great community the footbag community is. If anyone else would like to send me a bag to my offer still stands for bags for stuff. I would like to get at least three again but over my time here my bags have been destroyed. I had two emmings bags that died due to brutatlity unleashed upon them by my students and a revolution (or are they called mr. sandbag) that will soon be joined by my lon irish bag.

So still if anyone wants to trade bags for things let me know because I will not have my credit card until christmas.

Skooled whirls with the leaky bag again tonight. I did three hundred but my bag has become somewhat lopsided after the stitich up so the session tonight was poor. I was able to hit three in a row on my strong and only one on my flip. Poor poor poor effort by me .

I hope that my new bags will get here soon. I thank everyone who answered my call. Once again, it really shows how great the footbag community is :D . That is all I have to say about that.

Not sure but I think I am going to skool something else tomorrow night just to give my legs a rest maybe ducking so my legs recoup a little and then go at whirls hard again on friday night - not like there is anything worthwhile leaving the house here for on a friday night. Just keep up the routine.

Tried to play yesterday but the bag blew up again about five minutes in, so for now I can't play but the new bags are coming in soon hopefully this week or next week. So until the bags arrive I will just play ps2. I won't post my ps2 adventures unless someone wants to read them.

October 30, 2006 Continued

Well I got home from work and sessioned stepping set tonight as I promised tony I would. I didn't go super hard only 300 attempts tonight. I was able to hit a bunch of side walks on both sides, however, keep in mind that I was doing them to hand catch. It went really well and the bag is working well.

I have found myself over the last couple of weeks waking up at like 6 in the morning most days so I am going to use that time to my advantage and start skooling something in the morning. It gives me an hour before I have to go to work. I think I will try spins.

Skooled ripwalks tonight. I only did 200 as my body was pretty stiff from yesterday's session. I was able to hit back to back on both sides. Actually going from flip to regular I was able to hit three in a row. That is a pretty good start back into a move I feel. I think once my body is better I will be able to get to that magical ten by the end of November.

Now I feel tired and I am going to rest. Still waking up super early in the morning so I gotta start using that time.

Skooled sidewalks again tonight and with more success on my flip I was hitting them really well and started to try consecutives on my regular side. However, I am having difficulty linking them. I think it has to do with my delay. It is easy for me to throw it into paradox mirage or infinite but getting back up into another sidewalk is proving quite difficult I usually end up setting straight into my leg just above my knee. Not sure why that is since I do not have problems with ripwalks going back and forth like that. As usual, any helpful advice on this problem would be greatly appreciated. I think in may be in regards to my posture. I find my self leaning forward on the delay after sidewalk.

Skooled ripwalks tonight. For some reason my delay was not doing it tonight so I just kept going. I was unable it almost any time to go back to back tonight. I kind of kicked my practice in the ass. Nevertheless, I kept going did four hundred tonight back up to the old total and planning to do more and more.

Skooled ripwalks tonight and that went well I did three hundred attempts and was able to go back to back again along with good form. I am noticing I am not leaning that much anymore and I am more shuffling it instead of actually jumping to set it. So that is good. I forgot to post but I played on friday november 3 I did 500 sidewalks and on my strong side I was able to link them together finally. Took the weekend off and I was too burnt on monday night because I woke up at four on monday morning to listen to the rider game. That was well worth it. I guess that means I will be doing it again this monday morning. Something about being from Saskatchewan and the only sports team in the province. Just brings back fond memories from when I was a kid camping and that was like the only signal you could pick up on the radio besides CBC radio.

Skooled sidewalks tonight and I did 400. The session went really well I was linking them with little problem on my regular side with a high of 4 and on my flip I was finally able to get the back to back that I wanted. I don't know why but compare ripwalks session last night my sidewalks were alot more accurate and crisp. I don't really understand. I was like a day and night thinng. Where last night nothing felt right, tonight everything felt right.

I can totally feel blur as a move I think I will be able to do consistantly when I start it next month. My bails right now would make perfect blur sets but I am going to wait until I have this series of moves solid. My projected sessions next month will be a three day rotation: sidewalk to ripwalk, rip walk to sidewalk and then blur. I know it sounds like I will be practicing the samething twice and if it I get down then I will have to think of something else stepping to add. Not sure what that would be yet.
