Introduction

Post by sen » 06 Jul 2006 09:19

I'll introduce myself here. And I'll be brief.

First of all, for a complete run down of my game in the last few years check out my Old Blog.

You can check out my recent video

Be sure to Challenge Tony Whitney

I'm a tiltless player, but I can hit quite a number of three's and four's, plus a handful of fives.

Total Summer Hours: 6.5

Watch for session highlights tonight!

I live in a part of Texas where I have yet to meet any footbaggers. There are some in Houston, Austin, & Dallas but they are too far away. I guess I am a lonely player. :( :)

I got into footbag about 3 weeks before summer started. So far my coolest trick is a butterfly. I also hit legover and pickup both sides a few days ago and clipper>mirage. Those are my highlights so far.

Anyway, I think this is a cool idea for a blog. I'd like to hear from other lonely shredders out there. Good idea Tony. :)

Peace
Travis Iden

I'm Jake McCleary, I live in Exeter, NH.

I'm pretty much a guiltless player, sometimes I have to bail to a 2 add move. I can hit lots of 3's, and a good amount of 4's. The only 5's I've hit were blurry whirl and backside blur.

I actually just finished playing, and I had a pretty decent session. I changed how I do my atomic sets the tiniest bit and it made them soooo much more consistent then they usually are.

Highlight of todays session:

Atomsmasher b2b

Anyway, thanks for making this blog, maybe I'll actually meet some people online now... that'd be sweet. I'll be posting in here a bunch I hope :D ! Peace.

This is a really neat idea. Should I find myself playing footbag again, I'll definately join in.

Looking forward to reading whatever you guys (girls?) are up to.

Well, i guess this is a good place for me to start.

A small amount of you guys might remember me. I used to post (and play) a lot. But I just got out of it somehow. Busy with work, school, and women. I think my last post was like 2 years ago, back when it was still modified.ca

Anyway, I graduated High School and i work opposite hours as my girlfriend (she works 6am-3pm, i work 3pm-9pm...kinda sux), and now i have a bit of free time on my hands. I started doing some of the stuff i used to back when i was bored all the time. Started playing cs for a while, starting making t-shirts (screenprinting) and finally i started playing footbag again. I dusted off my lavers last night and started to shred.
Two hours later, i cant believe i ever stopped. What a workout. Anyway, im starting to get back to where i once was. I was hitting dlo's and a few ripwalks. My osis and spinning anything is still very weak.

Just wanted to say im back (if you remember me)
and i also play solo. so add me to the list.
Every man has their technique, and they are all different......when you know mine.....youll be dead.

Brian, Nice to see you. I sort of remember your screen name a bit from back then. PS Full name in sig.

Newf, did you quit because of an injury? I seem to remember something like that. Regardless, I hope you can play soon!

Jake, That's some nice stuff. Good to see you getting in the Blog. I think this could get really fun.

Travis, I'm glad you like my idea and hopefully we can all benifet from it.

OK, Time for my session update:

I played at home today. It was really nice to play inside where I have some A/C. It's stinking hot and my outdoor sessions were killing me, but I love the space I have to play and giving footbag some exposure.

I haven't looked at my fairy sets in a while so I decided to check them out tonight. My first try had a set that almost could've been ducked. That got me thinking. I tried a few unsuccessfully. Oh well. I'd come back to it at the end of the session. I started working on my pixie set and managed to hit a combo I have been looking at for a little while. It's part of my shred 30. I messed around with some other stuff and practiced the beginning of my Shred 30 a bit. Got through it more that I have before. Anyways, let's just get to some highlights . . .

Highlights:
 Fairy knee bumping opp whirl
 Fairy knee bumping ss pickup
 Fairy legover bs
 Fairy butterfly bs
 Fairy WHIRL (sweet)

Hours: 1.25

Good idea for the solo blog... maybe this will turn into something bigger, like a club (suggested in the General Footbag section, I think). Anyways, I guess I'll do a brief introduction:

My name's Dave. I play solo in Raleigh, North Carolina. Sometimes I play solo in Greenville, North Carolina. It depends on what season it is. I have a few people that will shred with me on occasion but mostly I am solo. I haven't really played hard since last summer. My own footblog is mostly personal stuff, not footbag-related stuff. I figure I can put footbag related stuff here now. I plan on possibly playing this weekend. We'll see!

Hi fellows,

I won't join the solo blog because currently I am in the position to have a buddy to shred with.

As mentioned before I suggested to found a club.
I just want to offer you my help in building an internet page, if you got not the resources to do this.

A soloblog is really a good way to start.

Guys good luck !

Nice job with all the fairy stuff, Tony. I've always thought fairy was much cooler looking than pixie.
And congrats on all the cool stuff, Ben. Both sides and all that.

I'm Zach and I'm from the middle of Wisconsin during the Summer, but go to school in St. Louis. Neither place has anyone that seriously kicks. I keep a personal blog too, but it's more of a diary of my thoughts and daily events really, and I long for a club so I'm gonna post here too.
I worked pixies again today, but eventually started on fairys and atomics again. I can do all those sets pretty consistently, but I can't get almost anything downtime out of any of them. I'm gonna keep practicing each of the sets until one stands out as the ripest for growth, then I'll focus on it for a while.
Hit strongside smear again, which is like the third time ever.

90% of the time, i shred alone.

hi, im brian, and i play footbag. i play tiltless, with some 3 or 4 adds thrown in.

in my last sesh, i hit stuff like

far osis>pdx mirage>smear

refraction (i think)>far hoe>dimwalk

ripwalk rake

ducking magellan (name?)

dragon set revswirl rake. ( complete fluke)--ill never hit it again i bet.

i also bop'ed the shit out of myself, and moved my infinity record to 5 (10 far butters)

i hope everyone has a good sesh next time. i want to see new stuff especially!

pixie ducking legover is not possible I guess.
No idea about the right name, but I guess it is called weaving or zulu.

Props on ripwalk rake - stylistic!

now hit ripwalk rake to ducking magellan.

The First post in the topic about my shred.

Maybe i should write something about me. so i'm from Poland and i'm 18. have been playin footbag for 23 months. i'm a guiltless player, but i was addhunter (dude, i'm polish, right?). my english is really pure and i'm sorry about that.

i played an hour today, cause my legs were sore and i don't have an energy. in the beginning od the session i hit a couple guiltless run, also drilled toe schuffle. later i wanted to try some barraging tricks, but i didn't hit anything new with te set. after that i schooled atomics and eggbeaters. lately i worked on torques.

highlights:

- nemesis > run > footed flipside nemesis
- fission bsos and janiwalker bsos in the same run
- torque screw bs
- plo > pixie clipper > pdx illusion > magellan [rpt]
- tapping dlo bs
- atomic eggbeater (name?)
- run with food bs and spinning pdx blender bs
- my shitty (probably the worst in my life) routine from polish championships

later, Kamil.

you can challenge me if You want :)

i just finished a session, it was an hourish long.

i schooled clippers alot, and shuffle and step.

i hit no new moves, but hit new strings.

ripwalk>pdxmirage>dimwalk>... was my best

i was shredding to a new cd i got. les claypool: of whales and woe

i started to hit osis real easy now.

i also hit symp mirage>plo>hoe.

i think i will quit smoking weed now. that was one of my first sesh's without it in a while, and i feel pumped for more, but legs and lungs cant take it.

cya!!

Worked on fairy and atomic most of the session today after starting with 27 consecutive legovers (new record for me, I think).

I hit atomsmasher both sides several times, and footed it probably 15 times. Fairy smasher strongside, with a bunch of footings both sides as well. I'm gonna keep working those two sets hard as long as my ligaments all feel fine tomorrow (I had problems in the past with my lateral collateral ligament due to strongside atomics).

It was a good day. =)
