All time top competition shred 30 scores
I just mailed Lon about an idea I had. I was reading the annual worlds rankings topic and thought: "why not have a list of all top shred 30 scores acheived in competition?". Shred 30 has the advantage that it is trivial to rank players between themselves. Instead of having a annual ranking, why not just rank the all time best scores in this event?
I think this would be a great addition to Lon's record list (on a separate page): a shred 30 score list:
SCORE | PLAYER | DATE | EVENT | VIDEO LINK (if existing)
maybe only keep the top 20 / 30 / 100? What do you guys think? If you think that this could be a good idea, post the top shred 30 scores here and I'll order and list them.
edit: Thanks Uranos for getting the ball rolling:

Speaking of Lon, didn't he score 254 at the SJFF late last year? Whatever that score was, I was pretty much blown away... what an awesome run!I just mailed Lon about an idea I had.

Anyone willing to write out these runs move for move? This would be a great addition to this thread. I'll get the ones I can find vids for!

Would I be right in saying that a problem with such a list is that some of these scores are inflated by lenient unique rules? I'd be suprised if they were all the product of the same rules. It's a problam that can be fixed if we have video or a list of the content of the runs because then wwe could just rescore them under the current set of rules.

Yeah according to the official IFPA rules Jim had a barfly and a DDD (I presume that's what Chris meant since you can't hit dod out of clipper) that weren't unique - since he'd already hit paradon on that side. Not sure how that effects the score (maybe it was taken into account) - but I know that one of Vasek's score from worlds 2005 semis had a ddd that wasn't counted as a unique for the same reason.

Lets not turn this thread into an argument over what uniques should be. That said the reason I support the current rule is because my understanding is that the unique element is designed to bring variety into the equation. More specifically I understand the intention to promote different types of moves rather than different variations of moves. I'm not saying you don't have a legitimate argument, i feel you gain far more with the rule as it is. Speaking of which for those who don't know:DDD are unique from paradons and barflies. I wouldn't say that toe set mirage and clipper set mirage are the same move. So what's the difference between barfly, paradon, and ddd. They're set differently so they're unique.
The current rule is (from the 2006 edition of the ifpa rule book article 509. <http>)
So according to the current rule DDD, barfly, paradon are not unique. Obviously some comps have deviated from the rule in the past which is why some ppls scores are now not comparable to other people's scores without recalculation. Furthermore because the ifpa doesn't enforce its rule book as strongly as it should this debate will continue every worlds untill the ifpa finally picks a rule and makes everyone stick to it.Unique Move: For the purpose of Composition Judging, a unique move is any move containing an add value whose add components are different from any other move done in that performance. Spin directions and leg direction in dexterity moves are considered different; each side of the body is considered different; moves coming from a different set are not unique unless that set forces another add component (i.e. body, in the case of "paradox" moves) to be added.

Between 10 and 14 shuffle moves depending on how you define shuffle and 6 spinning moves - despite the myth that shred 30s these days are all about shuffle - at best less than half the shred 30 is shuffle...Chris Holden wrote:1. 271 - Vasek Klouda - 2005 World Champs Shred 30 Semi-Final
