toe stalling with 32 pannel help

Post by thlaxx » 09 Jun 2006 16:47

ok i have a Mr. and have gotten down toe stalls well. but when i try to toe stall with my 32 which i use for circles and stuff, it jsut rolls right off.
conditions-i want lavers but dont have them so dont tell me to get them, i know they're great. I use addidas running shoes and right now theres no other option.

But how should i go about toe stalling a 32, its a super sand 32 pannel, is it just beacuse its factory made that its not stalling well and should i get a mosher or abshire? would that help? thanks.

Moved to Getting Started; It's really not that hard to read the rules, especially for a very first post.

Where did you get the 32? Is that what it's called? "Super Sand 32"? A quality 32 can be really pricey, so be prepared for that. A high quality bag will definately help; being made of 32 panels doesn't guarantee any level of quality whatsoever. You can always browse the Bags and Equipment forum for cheaper bags, but again it's hard to acertain a certain level of quality unless it is a well-reviewed product.

I would recomend sticking to using the Mr., they're pretty good bags. I haven't tried that DirtBag 32 that you have, but I doubt it is as good.

your not really gunna get anywhere with that bag (super sand). especially if you want to start doing more technical moves. go for a handstitched from a local seller.

lol funny i ordered that exact bag a couple weeks ago. its actually an ok bag after it breaks in. it was almost completely broken in after i used all these guys (refering to the crazy people who had break in tips) break in tips. i tried washing it the drying it with a towel then shoving it in the freezer for 10-15 min. you take it out roll it around and wa-la its more broken in. it worked for my dirtbag super sand 32 so it should have no problem with yours. ive washed the bag with liquid soap (by the way only use cold water) shampoo, even conditioner (i dont think conditioner helped at all). Well another little thing i tried was you wash it then before drying it you rub in some liquid fabric softner. it works fairly well but the only downside is your footbag smells like flowers lol. really even with lavers you have to concentrate more with your stalls for a 32. you need to stall it in the toe area. no more little lucky stalls that you get with a mr. you might have to actualy try to cushion the bag even more than a mr. since they just absorb the shock (which is why a 32 goes so much higher when you using the same force). well hoped that helped a little.

if u like adidas running shoes try climacool 1s for footbag, they're great! :) also, 32's don't really stall too well until they're somewhat broken in (unless u've got toe walls)

Its possibly the shoes. If you can do if perfectly every time with the mr.sandbag, its probably the dirtbag.

you know, after seeing crook bust huge in pretty much any type of shoe, i'm prepared to say it's NEVER the shoes, it's that your technique doesn't compliment your shoe type.

Agreed, it's not the equiptment. That being said the right equiptment can make as much difference between trying to play basketball with a regular baskeball and trying to play basketball with a cannonball... The point being he should look into getting good shoes if he hasn't done so already.

yeah those look like mesh you can find modding instructions for those on footbag.org pretty much you take out the leather which is on the inside. because its on the inside theyre a bit harder to modify, but they look a little bit nicer.

It's not leather on the inside . . .

It's canvas, and yes, it can tough to take out, but I find it is well worth the trouble.
