Flip incorporation
This is something I've lightly pondered for a long time now. I was wondering if anyone has or thinks flips could be incorporated into shred. I realize it would be very difficult, but I'm sure we have some real acrobats here who can bust flips pretty easily. I guess it seems reasonable to me as I tend to put it in the game genre as say ducking or spinning.
Anyways, do you guys think it could be thrown in?

I remember hearing that some people have done some simple tricks with backflips, but yeah- it is possible. Go for it and post some vids.
I remember a topic at flipsider about a backflip lap stall... That hurt, and I never did land it. Probably would have helped if I could do a backflip.

I went to school with the Australian break dance champion (or he'd one titles at nationals, I don't really know how it works). He would play footbag a little, and bust out mad break dance moves, but could barely stall, so there was very little footbag skill involved. It was just like what people are talking about; Kick the bag up, do a flip, kick or stall it again. I'm sure you could do crazy stuff if you were good at both, but it's not something I'm that interested in.
This guy at school, I once saw do a double backflip off a wall. Admittedly the wall was on a big slope, so you could come at from an angle and then give yourself a lot more time than on flat ground, but it was still the most insane gymnastics act I've seen in real life (not that I've seen that much gymnastic stuff outside of youtube). Felt like sharing

Yeah, the plan is to try to make a whole new acrobatic form of shred involving air and flips in conjunction with spins and other pre-existing concepts.
I also hope to learn wall-flips, but that's not really related.
My first goal once I have back tucks is a full stalling back tuck. Yeow!

I agree that capoeira style moves could probably have a footbag incorporated into them, however I've never really liked capoeira.
Something about it just doesn't do it for me.
I posted in my blog but not here, at gymnastics class this past friday I was alllllmost hitting toe stalling backflip on this tight trampoline. (as in I keep the bag on my toe the whole time) I just kept messing up the catch, I need to learn to land my backflips on one foot.
Definitely possible!!
