Cool.

#2 and #3 shouldn't be too hard to track, but #1 sounds like it'd involve a lot of work. I kind of like the idea of tracking the number of drops, as that could be used in tiebreakers. Like, if two players show up to Worlds with the same points ranking, but one averages 2 drops/routine and the other averages 4 drops/routine, the one with a lower drop average would win the tiebreaker.

also i would like to point out that if anyone is interested in helping me that would be great

currently im looking for
-graphic designers
-a few admins to help upkeep the website (to post news and footbag happenings and whatnot)
-1 other person dedicated to the upkeep of the ranking system besides me
-Statistical analysts that can help compile the data i need for the ranking system

this is a large task, and i cant offer any money to anyone, but atleast you can say your helping promote the sport of footbag lol

Zeb, I'm a computer guy, but I can't say that I'm highly skilled with anything. I play around with some graphic design. I'd be willing to admin for sure, and I could probably be your guy to be dedicated to the system. Let me know what you think that will involve. As for the graphic design, I don't have any training or anything so don't expect pro work, but I can do what I can.

Edit to add: I also have some basic HTML knowledge (I've built basic websites in full, but nothing as elaborate as EB.com) and I'm willing to self teach myself more to help with anything that way.

first of all, BIG PROPS!! i think the website looks very professional!! :)
really cool that you put so much effort into it!

i've just got one question:
are there no female rankings?
like i e.g. got some points for circle competition i guess where i competed against male players, but no points for women's routines...

yes there will be, right now im pretty focus on the male side of things, not being sexist or anything but there is just a very large amount of male players to female players, I actually was inputting so many names and numbers yesterday that i didnt notice that i did that to you, hania, and tanja. Ill fix this soon :)

Would be more legit-looking site if the names were typed correctly.. Finnish names should be Anssi, Tuomas and Aleksi. Not Ansii, Toumas and Aleski. Cool website though, props.

Yeah, it's weird how off the tourney results on Footbag.Org are sometimes. I went dropless, won money, and took second place at Funtastiks this year...only to be reported on the footbag.org results as having taken 5th place. :?

But yeah, since the elitefootbag rankings are taken off footbag.org, I recommend people check the .org results for accuracy, if they care about the rankings and their possible use in seeding at tournies.

Props again to Zeb for taking initiative to make this happen.

I'm going to get Evan to have two routine events, and two circle events at Vegas jam. I'll claw my way back up yet!

How can I view the rankings? I signed up, logged in and I can't find anything except the small text, video and shoutbox on the front page.

The 2011 season is over, and I'm not sure if they're tracking it for the 2012 season.

I know I finished first in points for the 2011 season, but I'd be curious to see the final list of rankings. Zeb?
