What's your favorite footbag routine?

Post by C-Fan » 28 Jun 2011 21:39

What's your favorite footbag routine? Both in terms of ones you've seen, and ones you've done.

For comedy, it's hard to top Jon Haber:

In terms of choreo, I really liked Penske's 2007 worlds finals routine. Which apparently is blocked in the US on youtube...fucking censors.

As for me, I still think my Worlds 09 first round was my best:

What about you?

Ive been trying to find the vid but i cant even remember the year or the name of the contestant. I believe it got 9th place in worlds ways back. The dude rolls out on a tricycle with a balloon pops the balloon and his bag pops out and later on he sets the bag on fire. i also wanna say he was in his underwear

I think my favourite is Ryan from 1997. It was one of the first footbag videos I ever saw. If I ever do a routine I think I will use this song: http://www.footbag.org/gallery/show/131
Otherwise, one of my other favourites was Marcin Bujko at Todexon 10: http://youtu.be/i7eFX2fZxkE

I have always been a big fan of Damian routine.

I really enjoy his routine from 2008.

This is the first footbag video I found on the internet:

Arguably this was maybe right before the highest peak of footbag popularity and you can feel the essence of cool permeating the atmosphere. The audience is so hype!

In terms of the thrill I've gotten from watching a routine in person, I don't think I can top this one. You can actually see me at the judging table (second from left) flipping out at the end:

This one always struck me as fun and creative.

This one goes so well with the song and is a really enjoyable watch. Glad I got to see this one in person.

In this one, I love how Jakob really grooves to the music and performs for the crowd.

This one is from the same comp as the one with Jakob. I really liked this one because it was so epic and brutal.

And I'm dumfounded that no one posted this:

...And that one from Alex Zerbe.

I'm wondering that no one posted this routine yet. It's likely the best footbag routine ever I guess.

I think my new favorite is Vasek from Euro's 2011. I just really like the music and it had a little bit comedy to round it out. Plus... SMB.

Most confidence, form, control, timing and cues:

I got back into footbag after watching this routine. Classically prepared and executed. Made me proud of the sport.

I think this is still my current favorite routine, as it breaks the mold, has the best energy and kept me crossing my fingers throughout it.
