Nucleus Footwear ignoring me?

Post by Buttock » 01 Apr 2011 07:20

It's a long story...but if you don't mind listening I'm happy to tell.

It all started May 25th of last year...I had ordered a pair of Nucleus Shoes to help with mah footbaggin' (plus, I like the look of 'em). I ordered a size 12, even though I typically wear 13, because when buying anything athletic, I usually buy smaller.
Bad idea.
They caused light bruising on my toes after one day so I had hoped to send them back in exchange for another pair.
So I emailed them....
No response.

SIX MONTHS LATER
I receive an email stating

"Hello,
I apologize for the delayed response. There seems to have been a glitch in our system preventing emails from being redirected. We can send you a free pair of size 13 just send to paypal shipping at half off ($5.00). Please email me your address to send asap.
Thank you,
Carol
Nucleus Footwear"

What a deal! After a couple more emails we sort it out and I pay for the $5 shipping. This couldn't be a scam, right? Who would go through all of this trouble for just $5?

A month later....nothing. So I email back asking what might be the problem. It is currently early december, then I email again in LATE december bugging them for a tracking number or SOMETHING.
Still no response.
Mid and late January I send TWO MORE EMAILS. STILL NO RESPONSE.

I mean...I don't know what to think of this whole deal.
Would somebody really scam me for $5 dollars?
Why wouldn't they write me back?
Can I really be upset? I mean, it's only $5...but I have been wanting to buy a pair anyway and this is just delaying it...

What do you guys think?

I hate when that shit happens to me. Sooo frustrating!
It's even worse when it's within footbag, since we're all so tight and know each other. That happened to me once in footbag. It was sucky, 'cause I really respect the guy.

Based on reviews like this alone I would never consider ordering anything from them.

I hope you get this settled though.
When I had my issue with a footbagger, I complained a lot on Modified and the community backed me up, eventually leading to me getting for what I paid. Get people to post in this thread. The Nucleus guys are on this forum. They're probably reading this. Negative feedback is bad for business; if they want to be a successful company in a small community they have to listen to us. Power in numbers.
Poo on Nucleus!
Reply to your fucking customers!

The "require good form" argument is silly. The same could be said for any shoes that have a poor inside stall surface.

They're on facebook and seem pretty active there. You should add them as a friend and post this story on their wall. That will get their attention.

Oh boy, sounds like I lucked out by only losing $5 dollars...

I added them on facebook, sounds like a good idea.

Also, the first pair I ordered is still up for sale in the sale area...PM if anyone o' y'alls is interested...I'm selling 'em for almost half I bought them for.

I sent a Friend Request to them on facebook and I think they might be ignoring me there too...their recent activity on facebook shows they've added videos and two friends since I've sent my request...

srsly guize? srsly?

See, the crazy part of all this is that it only requires a
"Hey man, sorry...we f#$%ed up. We can't just hand out free shoes.
But we could offer a discount if you're still interested!"

Try PMing Queency here on Modified. She started a Vegas Jam thread in the Videos section a week ago-ish.

Well Queency responded!
And within a couple of hours, too!

My shoes should be shipping today and I should get a tracking number by tonight!

Apparently email wasn't the way to go before...it gets inundated with spam.
I'm just glad to finally grab me some shoes!

UPDATE:

Queency responded immediately and was prompt and professional about correcting the matter when it came to her attention. She sent me a free (extra) pair of shoes and immediately delivered them by overnight mail.

I am absolutely satisfied with the way she does business, I see how the spam thing could have become a problem, annd I dig the shoes.

I've been waiting for a response too, but I tried the PM now so we'll see how it goes.

I really don't think it's a good idea for a business to have an e-mail as the only form of contact when that e-mail....doesn't work or something I guess?

Glad you got your shoes, but still: A business should be checking their e-mails regularly, spam is no excuse.
